World-wide there are 1.2 Billion children with inadequate shoes. This is defined as too small, too large, unsafe, or no longer usable. As a humanitarian shoe organization, we want to see this changed. While in Mexico, our goal is to wash the feet of children and provide each with a properly fitted 360Mox pair of shoes. Having an adequate and properly fitted pair of shoes can change the life of a child when their education is at risk.
We make the washing and providing of shoes a priority. A human touch can provide hope for the future!
You will receive a lot of communication from us after you register but we also want to make sure we address the stuff that we do not do while on a My360Project trip. We ask that you remember we are here to be a servant to those in Mexico. We want them to feel loved, not used. We are not providing you a vacation but we are providing you with a humanitarian mission experience. You will want to be mindful of your leader’s instructions; they are leading for a reason. We ask that you do not wander the streets of the area where you are staying.
Our Mexico trip is all-inclusive, meaning you won’t need to bring cash for anything unless you want to buy souvenirs while in-country. You will pay approximately $1225 to cover all your fees. You will do this by having shoes sponsored. Each pair is $35 and you’ll need to sponsor 35 pairs to go to Mexico. This does not include the flight from your home to San Diego, CA where you will meet up with us.
35 pairs of shoes pays for your trip (minus your airfare) and we offer a reimbursement option for flights with an additional 20 pairs raised (up to $400 reimbursement). Any additional shoes (over the 55 pairs) remains with My360Project as a donation.
These are non-negotiable fees. Here is what is covered:
Lodging while in Mexico
Food, including eating out, while in-country
All in-country transportation
Customs fees
Faith Ventures travel insurance
1 or 2 Service Project(s) with a local partner
35 pairs of My360 Mox shoes to provide to the children (*Shoes not hand delivered on your trip, remain with My360 and will go towards future trips.)
Some groups decide to bring socks, Bibles, or a financial gift to contribute to our local partners while in the country. These would be in addition to the funds required by My360.
6 month sample funding timeline is below. This is only a sample and will give you an idea of how to break up your fundraising into a very easy schedule:
Deposit due with application: Non-tax Deductible, non-refundable deposit due - $300
$231 due 1 month after your deposit
$231 due 1 month after that
$231 due 1 month after that
Final payment of $232 (This should be approximately 1 month BEFORE your travel date.)
Pack your bags and don’t forget the passport!
When you are seeking sponsors for shoes, please let them know that your total needed includes the shoes you will take. The shoes are $35 per pair. However, there is a small credit card processing fee so please be aware of this when making your payments and hitting your financial goals. For this reason, we ask that you closely monitor your funding. We will not be sending you reminders.
